Office Max 15% off bag special

Went to Office Max to buy a fax machine, they did not have one I wanted for cheap but I saw a paper shredder reg. $34.99 on sale for $19.99. Took it up to register and the clerk asked me for my zip code, I gave it to him and commented on living only 15 minutes and not getting any ads from them. He said that this week they dont have a paper ad but have 15% off anything you can put in a paper bag. (They have paper bags there for you) I asked if that including ad items and he said yes. So I got extra 15% off the paper shredder. I went back and grabbed the fax machine for $59.99 and got that for 15% off. Both items came to $60.13 with tax, less then the fax machine would have cost with tax at regular price.

Well see my story above, I went in for a fax machine and got the paper shredder free after the 15% and because the paper was already on sale

hehe fax machine? I don't even have a landline phone anymore. reminds me that my dad bought a big box of stuff at the flea/farmer's market for like 3 bucks and got a working fax machine in it along with a paper hole punch that was the same one that I bought from Staples for over 3 bucks :Q.

Funny, I have a fax machine, and no cell phone!
Fax machines are used quite often in the business world.

Good chance to get extra off those school supplies.

DEFINATE ymmv.....went today with the gf to buy office supplies.
when we payed for our stuff, i told the cashier lady that we didn't get a bag in the paper, but would like to have the 15% off.
she replied with "no. i can't. we need the bag to keep records of the 15% promo."

needless to say, i'm burning the mother down next month.

I would have refused my purchase. Just me, though. If I could GET a discount but don't have the correct code, coupon, etc, and they won't give it to me, anyway, I usually skip the purchase completely.

Went there again to night and bought a powewr inverter for the car. No bag and got 15% off. Just talked to one the employees nice and they gave to me. She said you are supposed to 15% off also when you use a shopping cart.
