Office License Question

Hey guys, I have Microsoft Office 2007 Student with 3 keys, I'm running Vista right now. Once I format and clean install Windows 7 when it comes out will that use my last key? I've installed office on my pc, and my laptop so I've used two keys already. Does the OS matter for license keys, or does it look at hardware to determine where it's installed?
 
If you haven't activated in a few months, the key will probably work without a problem. MS clears out activation data after a few months. Even if it failed activation, you just call the # on the screen and say you had to format. They'll give you a code and the thing will activate just fine.
