Ever since I started working more at this job, it seems that I am just tired as can be. I sit down for 8-10 hours and dont ever feel like getting up to be honest. At the end of the day I am dog tired for no real reason, many times I will work a *straight* shift where I dont even go on lunch break. On those days the only time I get up is to use the bathroom, get up to go grab my packed lunch, and get myself a soda/ drink of water, and thats about it. Sometimes I miss being a waiterIts really hard to drag myself to the gym after work, but I force myself.

Caffine does not do the trick , coffee in the morning helps wake me up but any coffee during the day will make me really tired. I eat pretty healthy too, I eat apples as snacks and eat a solid breakfast (usually grits or oatmeal), and eat a salad 5/7 nights of the week with my dinner. I am looking for any suggestions.

I know what you're saying. I was doing desktop support at my last job, on my feet and out and about 75% of the day. I took a job doing technical support where I sit on my ass for 8 hours all day, and I hate it! I feel more tired when I get home than I ever did being on my feet all day.

I'd say it has to do with your metabolism. If your sitting most of the day, your metabolism will naturally go down as your not expelling much energy. I don't think there's much you can do about it other than get a more active on-your-feet job or try and force yourself to get up every 45 minutes and just walk around a little. But definately keep going to the gym.

I guess I'm just lazy :p

I actually had to get up and waltz around the building solving end user issues quite frequently at my last job... I preferred to do as much work from my desk as possible. If it could be remotely controlled, by God, I remotely controlled it.

Now I'm unemployed, and the only physical activity I do is occasionally working on the farm... but I even automate most of that... <said while tossing the keys to the machinery in mid air and catching them again> I guess I somewhat wish I was more physically active, but at the same time, I'm glad I don't have a job that requires strenuous physical activity (like a cop or someone).
