Office Communicator Not installing

Every month there my office computer gets an update push of the latest patches from M$.

This week it tried to update Office Communicator and failed.

The window comes up says:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to folder containing the installation
package "Communicator.msi" in the box below.

I have search my hard drive for this and I do not have it.

The help desk cannot fix anything harder that a password reset.

It's looking for the files that were used to install Communicator originally.
