Office Boredom:

I have a glass of tea which was used (I drank from) last Friday (3/30)?.It was half full when I left. It?s growing mold?I didn?t realize tea would do this?

Monday, 4/2/07: I noticed some specs in it?thinking it was tea ?bits??I didn?t drink it, I just left it on my desk and went on my way.

Tuesday, 4/3/07: I noticed the ?bits? were larger?

Wednesday, 4/4/07: Bits were now large colonies of fungus (and some bacteria). One colony was about ¾ the diameter of a dime (green), the other was away from the colony, and about 1/5 the diameter of a dime (white). curiosity ensued? I added eye drops to the colonies (old bottle I don?t use on my desk).

Thursday, 4/5/07: Main Colony the size of a nickel, secondary colony ½ diameter of a dime. I noticed other ?bits? were popping up.

Friday, 4/6/07: Main colony now the size of a quarter?secondary colony the size of a dime?new ?bits? were forming into their own colony. For giggles, I added a splash of diet coke.

What else should I add?

we left water in a closed container, and by the time we came back from break, there was a clearish layer of mold on the top and some pillars of the same stuff that continued below the surface. actually any water left standing for a couple days around here will do that, such as in the dishes if I leave something to soak for awhile.
im scared of what I am actually putting into my body when I drink the water on campus, but at the same time I just don't care because I am still alive and have been drinking the water all year. :)

Left a Mug of tea in my microwave and forgot about it. Went on Spring Break, came back. Whole surface was covered in Mold.

I've just coughed in it. Good idea.

Molding Tea has no odor...not really gross.

The best thing you could do would be to add some sea monkeys and then your own semen.

CRAZY weird stuff will grow.

Leaving a glass with your semen in it on your desk at work is one of the most disturbing things I can imagine.

If you really want stuff to grow, you want to add some sugar and protein, maybe a little salt. Some coffee creamer, half and half, something like that.

<----not responsible what happens!

I've given my cup of mold-tea a name...Bob.

I'll bring in a nail clipping on monday...as for creamer? I'm getting some right now.

haha, I work in Point Richmond, so the monkey will start here first. :)

I'll take some pics with my phone and upload them when I get home.

Alright, the scientific side of me is way too curious...pics?? You could always try adding a bit of "food" such as fruit juice or a packet of sugar...this could be interesting!

Edit: damn...beaten to the sugar punch...
