Office Back or up one folder button gone in save menu

Is it me or did the back one folder up one folder button go away in the save file menu? This is a real pain for me since I have to go back to the beginning to go up one folder to create a new sub folder. Using Office 2013. went to crap when 2007 came out.

For example, I create a folder for today called 092616 and then create a sub folder called 092616-1 under that in Excel and I save that file. Well when I want to create the next run's data file buy going up one directory and creating a new folder 092616-2 etc. Well now it seems that I have to go all the way back to zero to get to the folder I want. This can be a real pain if the folder is several layers deep in the directory structure when before it was just one click. Is this gone completely or is there a hack for turning it back on?
