Office 97 pulls from network when dialed up

Loaded NT4.0 ghost image on laptop. When logged on local I access office97 local. When dialed up from home into company network office 97 suite pulls from the server. Tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling and same thing. Everytime dialed in pulls office from the network. Is there any way to disable this so that I can access Office locally even when dialed up?
 
try going through my computer > prog files > ms office > then find the program you are looking for and try opening it from there... basically what i think you need to do is make new shortcuts... i think the short cuts you have point to the server so they are going there, but if you make ones that go to the hard drive then it shouldn't load off the server... this is just a thought, but it might work... never had the prob cuz i don't run office off a server...
