Hey all...
Im having a hell of a time getting ANY copy of office 2k to install.
I have tried the following:
MS Word 2000 (came with my laptop)
MS Office 2K SBE (2 different cds)
MS Office 2k PRO (3 different cds)
All of htem produce the same damn error, i get about 40% done in the install and then it says:
Eror 1311, can not find office1.cab check to make sure the file is available (somthing like that) Retry / Cancel are my only options.
Now i look on the CD and there is office1.cab, i could even open it up and look inside the file, but the install wont accept it.
This is on a Celeron 633 laptop with a DVD drive running win2k sp1.
(before i installed win2k, i was able to install word when win ME was preinstalled on the system)
No other cd's have given me any problems, Photoshop 6 went on smoothly as have various other programs.
Any ideas what might be causing this? I might have to link my laptop to my desktop and share the cd-rom drive from that system and try installing it from there.
