I downloaded the update SP-1 for Office 2000 and now I am having problems

When I open Outlook it only stays open for like 3 seconds and Word is open for like 10

Anything I can do to fix this other then uninstall and reinstall Office?

did you check that you had the minimum version ms uninstaller installed before you tried updating?
