Office 2k Pro and Win 2k

I read somewhere that I should install SP1 for Office 2k if I want to put it on my computer with Win 2k. Does it run better that way? Would there be any major problems if I didn't install SP1?

I had it installed without sp1 for quite a while and had no problems...I eventually got bored one day and upgraded to sp1 though.

Like any microsoft product, you got to update the buggy software. if you install both SP1a and SP1b and other assorted patches, your looking at around 80 megs worth of upgrades. The biggest concern seems to be security issues.
