anyway to get back to the classic menu? because the way it looks now is stupid. especially when i am a keyboard guy when it comes to this shit.

wtf were they thinking with this new design?

If you are a keyboard guy then you should know all the shortcut keys, which still work! 😉

And for new users the design is fantastic, older users just have to spend a little time getting used to it but in the end it is worth it as 90% of the functionality you need is there in front of you.

it's just so weird. i used to be able to access options, customize a lot of my own tool bars, ctrl+alt+tab etc. dont have that anymore. screw it, going back to 2003

I used Office 2007 for a full semester and still never adapted to it. Every time I needed to make a special chart, graph, or anything of that sort, or try to use more advanced features, it was always a hunt through the big pretty buttons and then the help menu to figure out where the hell everything had gone, or what it was now called.
Using the drawing features sucks, too. They split up most of the basic features of lines into two separate windows. Changing the color was in one window, but changing the line length and angle was in another. Why move them around? Why not keep them in the same window like they were in previous versions?
And the new equation editor, dear god it's awful. The fun part: Excel 2007 doesn't use the new editor, it uses the v3.0 equation editor. Who knows why they decided to do that.

Throughout my engineering classes, the vast majority of people shared my sentiments, that Office 2007 is a major pain in the ass to try to use.
I found myself putting off some projects so I could do them at home, on Office 2000, in which I could do exactly what I needed to do. Office 2007 is like trying to work while wearing bright, colorful mittens. Yeah, pretty and shiny and all, but nearly useless.
