Office 2007 Enterprise install methods

Guys,

I want to know is it possible and if so the best way to deploy (large number of users) Office 2007 as part of an image so that it can be changed later or part of the install process (presys) i.e. User A wants Pro and user B wants Standard?

I have a copy for Enterprise and VLK's. I have tested by creating MSP with the preselected components to make up the office suit however I am worried that in an audit it will see that all machine have Office 07 Enterprise install which is not good because of cost...

TIA,

James

Pro and Standard are the same, except that Pro comes with some extra programs.
You can do a custom install for the people that only want standard ... Just install
Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook .... Or just remove the shortcuts for the programs
they don't want to use from the menu. Functionally, both are same internally.

That makes a lot of sense and can be achieved with MSP custom install files but when the machine is auditted will it not show up as all the same verions so that we then get charged what we do not need/use?

What do you mean by Audited / Charged ? ?
You buy the program and the required number of
Licenses or Copies of the Program. They are yours,
unless you are planning to use Rental Computers or
Software which really does not make much sense.
Once you buy it, its yours to do as you want.
As to cost, once it is approved and spent, who would care ? ?
