Office 2003 vs. XP

Hi, all. It's been a while since my last post here.

I was wondering if anyone here is using Offices 2003. I'm currently using Office 2002 (XP) with no problems whatsoever. I'd really love the give the new Outlook a try.

I'm running Windows 2000 SP4 on a PIII 866MHz with 512MB of RAM. Currently, Outlook uses around 6MB of RAM and 7MB of virtual memory, wich is very low and I like it. It starts up in about 3 seconds.

So, the question is:

Is the new Office System as fast as Office XP or just more bloatware, with higher system requirements?
How does it run? is it stable?

I can tell you that Outlook 2003's anti-spam filter is awesome 🙂

And it's fast and stable. I don't notice a performance difference on my Athlon XP system. Both XP and 2003 are stable products and I rarely have it crash.

I will get it as soon as my school upgrades🙂. Gotta love student discounts, but you gotta hate college tuition fees🙁.

i really like the changes to outlook 2003, other programs have some nice differences, overall decent package.

as much as i hate to admit it, i can't find something nearly as nice that runs under X. yes i know about ximian's evolution, but it refuses to install on most linux distros (grrr to ximian)
