Office 2003 to office 2007 question

I have office 2003 and want to know if I install office 2007 if it will keep all my settings. Especially email contacts in outlook. I still need to be able to save things in the older format for exchanging files with other people.

1. Yes, all of your previous data will be preserved. My 2003 PST file in Outlook carried over just fine to 2007.

2. You can save Word, Excel and Powerpoint in the old 2003 formats. You can even choose this as the default save format. One issue I have is that 2007's default fonts have changed (e.g. Calibri instead of Times New Roman). You will want to make sure that you're not using 2007-only fonts when you're exchanging documents with 2003 users.
