Office 2003 Professional - Too cheap?

I was comparing prices on pricegrabber for Office 2003 Pro and stumbled upon this site:

http://www.usatechstore.net/Microsoft-Office-2003-Professional

They're almost 50% lower than most other places for the same thing. It's gotta be a scam, right? There's no way they're getting legit Office 2003 licenses for less than $160, right?

This reeks of "too good to be true", but I can't help but salivate over the potential savings.

Has anybody dealt with these guys? Or do you have any recommendations for legitimate places to get O2003Pro for less than $300 legitimately?

Probably not legit.

Microsoft Corp. v. Tech USA Store a/k/a USA Tech Store of Atlanta, Georgia alleging distribution of counterfeit Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and counterfeit product keys.
Case No. 1:06-CV-1350

If you're military, you can go to any NEX and purchase Office 2003 Standard Edition for $59.99. This includes Word, Excel, PP and Outlook. It's some type of military appreciation special. It's been going on for a while now so I don't know when it will end but it is a great deal if you can get in on it.

I just purchased a rig from ABS Computers (yeah, don't be too harsh that I didn't build it myself 😱 ) and I purchased MS Office Small Business for $199 and thought it was one of the better deals I've come across. It is just missing Access.

That's a nice price, but sadly, I do need Access, so I have to stick with Professional.

attending college? I got office 2003 pro for around $88. Friend at a different university in town was only able to get student-teacher version for a similiar price (may have been $100)

Nope. I didn't know MS made Student versions of Pro...or was that some deal straight through the college?

those are 2 different versions - my university offered pro - my friend's university offered student-teacher version - point I was trying to make is some universities offer pro, some student-teacher. - Sorry to confuse you, I am often too brief for my own good.

Open office not an option then?

I'm all for open source but have you ever had a .ppt file render correctly in Open Office? I haven't. If someone is sending you MS Office created files the only way to be 100% sure they'll open properly is to use MS Office to do it.
