My work has an agreement with MS to provide a free home license of MS Office if we use it at work. I took home the install CD and get a "Fatal Error During Installation" when auto-launching SETUPPROSP1.EXE. If I try to launch the regular setup, it prompts me for a Product Key, which I obviously don't have (because it's a Volume License Key maybe?).
I had this previously installed on XP on the same computer just fine, but much later tried to add Frontpage and got the same error. I gave up since I knew I'd be upgrading to Vista soon. This is my media center PC, so I assume I installed something in Vista that I also had in XP that screwed it up... like SQL Server 2005 (for MyMovies plugin) or .net framework or something.
When searching for an answer, I came across references to LISTool.exe and network shares, but I'm obviously not deploying this over a network and have no idea to use this stuff. Thanks in advance.
