Office 2003 > 2010 ?

i have looked and haven't seen anything definitive on this:
If i have office 2003 installed and want to upgrade to 2010 what is the best way? can you install right over it?

Whenever you start the installation, you will want to choose the customize button.

There will be an upgrade tab that will ask you if you want to keep or remove the previous versions of office. You can only have one copy of Outlook though.

I haven't played with 2010 yet, but in my experience having 2 versions of Office installed often causes trouble.

I'd uninstall 2003 first, then install 2010.

office 2007 enterprise wiped my office 2003 enterprise clean. remote deployment on 30 pc's not a sign of office 2k3.

so yeah. but be careful! outlook is tricky. especially if you use both outlook and outlook express or whatever vista called it!

Make a full bare metal system backup before you do this - i did on all 30+ machines.
