I am voting for the Pads, but I think they will fall to St. Louis...
I will offer my predictions first=

Houston 3
Atlanta 1

ROUND 2

I say. all those teams above got eaten by grizzly bears tamed by wasserkool.

and the mariners somehow won the world series.

I feel like puking when hearing about the Cardinals, but I'd rather have them win than the Padres.

padres only need to steal one in the first 2 games in st. louis to take control of the series. with jake peavy pitching game 1, things are looking pretty good. after that, it should hopefully be smooth sailing to the big dance.

i have-
1 peavy
2 williams

peavy, williams, astacio, peavy, eaton (could be williams again if he pitches well his first time around, which im hoping he does with those years he pitched in st. l)

but speculation is that its going to be: peavy, astacio, eaton and then peavy again.

edit: btw, i wish the peavy/carpenter match was in sd. bad enough the game is at 10am. that would be a pretty exciting match up, just like the peavy/clemens game i attended earlier this season.

yeah i agree since he hasnt been as effective or sharp his past few outings. but then again, all bets are off in the playoffs.

As long as the Braves and Yankees don't get to the World Series I'll be happy.

I was like "Los Angeles, WTF?!!? The Dodgers sucked this year." I forgot about the marketing abomination in Anaheim.

Well you know the Braves aren't going to make it, so you are already halfway to being happy.

<sigh> Peavy's out for the year for the Pads. Now there's almost no chance for them to win. :(
