I have one.

No more in-game mouse look, but mouse works fine otherwise. This bug affects EVERY saved game.

Used ONE cheat to get rid of that stupid rain effect that R* thought would add to game play. That was DAYS ago, in game play time. Nothing else unusual has happened and nothing unusual in the game may have led to it. I do like to alt+tab out to look at maps, read email, browse the web, etc, but this cant be the problem since SA has a memory footprint on par with FF for christ sake.

Problem : Random crashes / lockups on an otherwise stable PC
Fix : Traded it in for the XBOX version.

when I save the game, and it retuns back to play, for 15 or so seconds I get a weird buzzing sound. It seems to do this every time. I haven't had it crash on me, or any other sound stutters.

QueBert, do you have the best and newest drivers for your sound card? Does it do it if you save -> quit -> restart GTA -> load same file?

A LOT of these are real, genuine bugs that we cant do anything about. :( Great work, R*. As usual.

The only bug I've noticed so far is the game freezes when it cuts to the cinematic scence at the beginning of a mission. The screen switches to black after I run into the red circle, but the cut scene never starts. I just Ctrl-Alt-Del to switch back to the desktop, end the task, restart, and it works just fine the next time.

How far are you in the main campaign? That happened to me a few times and your "cure" is sufficient, i just hope its not a cumulative affect. In that, you will start seening game ending bugs much like myself. I have my fingers crossed for ya man! :thumbsup:

I'm not very far at all -- the last mission I did was the one where you have to bounce the car to the beat of the music. Actually, I didn't notice the bug until the 4th or 5th mission...the cut scenes at the beginning of the game and the first few missions didn't freeze up. :confused:

Yea, thats about the same time i started to notice bugs--4-5th mission. All i can say is watch what you do because you will soon hit major bugs (BSODs, crash to desk, etc) soon. [edit] did i say soon? i meant soon, like soon, ya know soon? [/edit] I hope you dont end up where im at--having to start over if i want to play. :(

Attempted fix #1 failed. I renamed my save game dir the uninstalled. Then reinstalled. I started a new game and swaped new for old. NO MOUSE LOOK IN GAME. This means that ALL my saves are corrupted! Agh! FVCK ME! This is the worst piece of trash software ever!

Sadly, guys, or maybe gladly, my long distance GF just landed for the weekend. See ya guys when i can. ;)

I just got it and have had about 10 play sessions so far. Of those, 3 have crashed at the opening nvidia thingie. 2 have crashed in-game, one when I hit a box on a motorbike and its contents sprayed everywhere (screen went black) and once when just driving along the street (got a bsod). /rude Rockstar & Sony

I tried to play 3 or 4 times, got 3 or 4 BSOD's.
I assume you're using your rig with 9800Pro?
<- 9800 users + BSOD. Latest Cat's. There's another thread about BSOD when the OP has a 9600XT.
Maybe Cat 5.6 + GTA:SA = BSOD?

Yep, using the 9800 pro rig with the 5.6 cats. It's far from unplayable, I've put in probably 5 hours of play, and had 2 crashes during gameplay, 3 starting the game.

640x480 low detail? No mods? No thanks :)

Edit: Noticed that when it freezes, if I leave it be it comes back after 15 seconds or so. What's happening is that for some reason my vpu stops responding; I get this message from some ATI monitor or other. System's rock-solid stable in other apps & games...

Noticed a new one, not major but a bug nonetheless - sometimes the radio doesn't engage my subwoofer. Kinda funny listening to Dr. Dre's Nothin' But A G-Thang without it :p I'll keep listening and update this post if I notice any patterns (ie. particular songs or radio stations, or if it happens after certain events).

Sometimes my SFX cuts out...not the music, just the sound effects (footsetps, car engine, etc.). No certain times, it just cuts out and won't come back until it wants to. Not a major bug, but annoying. And sometimes the talking in cinematics won't work(usally comes with no sound effects) but then in the middle of the cutscene it will start working, or one it will work for on person, or something stupid like that.
Anyone know a fix?

Had my first problem tonight....I don't know if it was a bug. I was taking of territories when my b!tch called and starting yapping. So I go to take her out and the game freezes. Only sucks b/c I didn't save beforehand...lost some ammo, money, and 2 territories.

Apart from the occasional crashing ( think there is some sortof a memory leak)

the biggest problem is what i ran into yesterday, doing the fly school. I did all the missions but the last one before i get my lisence, no problem, went exploring and every time i went out of the car that guy would phone me and make fun of me not having the lisence. Then that got anoying so i took the last mission, now i have the lisence, but no phone calls and no mission locations anywhere. Dont know what to do

never had any issues(and i`m running it on GEforce 4 MX :) ) but i just found a fix:they say is for cracked version but could be working for the legit version also.
it`s a torrent (abou 4 M),so i dont know if i`m allowed to post the link.

ahhhhh... you have to finish all the fly missions to move on

they get really easy after the first airplane type missions

my freezes, about three, are all before a cut scene before a mission.

it freezes the whole computer on me when i try to purchase new property, such as a house/apartment. really sucks :(
