I was listening to talk radio this week, and people have been praising the offensive output this season and raving about the historical pace its going at.

I can dig that, but at the same time, I like to see a little bit more defense, but I don't want to see 13-10 games like I used to.

It it time to change the age-old cliche' of "offense sells tickects, defense wins championships"?

I am afraid so.....

the one Miami TV station we get here is definitely a bit giddy about Osweiler starting again...

I am more nervous then I care to admit with the Patriots matchup this week. Mack is terrifying and the rest of that defense isn't a bunch of has-been's...

Chicago defense is very very good. But as much as I hate the Patriots, I am hoping that they expose Trubisky for the shit that he truly is....and I like the Bears!

Thursday Night Football is garbage
I mean it was the 2-4 Broncos against the 1-5 Cardinals what did you expect? There's a reason those teams were a combined 3-9 before the game started. I was watching more NBA last night than NFL, which is never the case. It was also Wizards opening night so it was kind of a special case though.

I watched last night's game up until the first 5 mins of the 3rd quarter. Then asked the wife if she wanted to watch "This is Us". Yeah....

I'm just happy to know that the Broncos are at least capable of beating a bad team. I still went to bed at halftime

This Pats/Bears game is lining up to be interesting.
Now tied, pats have coughed it up twice via fumble inside their own 30, Bears have capitalized both times. Bears QB Tribunsky has done considerable damage running it, he's pretty quick and good size has well. Jags have benched Bortles, yea, that bad, they scored zero points again in the 1st half.

That game ended much closer than I would have liked, but glad the Pats were able to win by half a yard!

Exciting finish to Bears/Pats game, Bears had to throw a 50yrd hail Mary with 2 seconds left, it was caught at the Pats 1yrd line but he was unable to get it into the EZ.

Yea, lots of bad plays by both teams, some amazing plays by both teams. Bad idea for Brady to attempt that last pass that wound up picked off, not a mistake he usually makes.

Eagles blew a 17 point lead AT HOME to Panthers, Wentz has been strip-sacked again and again this year it seems. Meanwhile Cleveland lost yet another OT game, this time on a 59yrd FG.

I didn't get to watch most of it since I am in NJ and had some stuff to get done for the kids this week. But I managed to catch jc Jackson's pick as well as Jonathan jones'. Jackson had some making up to do for penalties, but I like him as a young corner. I was able to stream the last 2 minutes, but boy was it more nervewracking than I was hoping.

If there's such a thing as a disappointing win, that Saints/Ravens game was it.

Ravens are a very good team this year and will give any team trouble in the playoffs. I think Flacco is having the best season start of his career yet. It's odd, because they don't have any dependable WOs that I can think of, really. Crabtree is/always has been a joke, Snead doesn't scare anyone...and I think those are their top 2, right? lol

well, KC probably wouldn't have trouble with them. I don't think there is a defense that can shut them down. You're only hope is to be able to put up at least 35-40 points against them.

Redskins game was YUGE. Especially considering the Eagles lost They are now up a game and a half.

In regards to the Ravens game AND the Redskins game, it was windy as fuck around here today so I definitely believe that had a lot to do with those final kicks in both games.

The Saints looked really sloppy, and while I know they can't all be dominant victories, they only won because of luck. A win is never a bad thing, and at least they aren't the Bengals. :p

Glad to see the Redskins doing better, always hated Dallas and it's fun to watch Eagle fans implode while their team blows a 17-0 lead in the 4th :) Have to LOL at coach Peterson saying there's "no pressure" on us now, huh?, your the defending champs and you've been looking like dog-poo and that's "no pressure"??.

Chiefs d even showed up against the Bengals. Gave up some plays but actually not a ton of yards (against a solid Bengals offense that can run and pass pretty well) and did very well on points. But the offense also chewed more of the clock and didn't leave as many points on the field (still left some thanks to Tyreek dropping a wide open TD pass, that's like the 10th one by the Chiefs so far this season). Wonder if the Broncos rematch will get flexed to the Sunday night game again. Oh its Saints-Vikings, nah that should be a good game. Bet ESPN wishes they could flex it in for MNF though!

That Chiefs-Rams game in a month is going to be huge, and could be big for gaining Mexican/international fans. Two teams with young star players scoring lots of points, and both teams playing great (assuming either or both don't start playing much worse). The MNF just before Thanksgiving too.

And I'll leave this here.

After all the shit Smith and Kerrigan have been getting this year that was extremely refreshing to see.

Needing the defense to capitalize on Dak's fuckups and refs making shit up, to eke out a win against a mediocre, Cowboys team is refreshing? Ouch.
