In my co-op program, i need one 4 months workterm this summer and another 4 months of school in the fall to graduate. However, I landed an internship with P&G for an 8 months position. If i take that job, i will be working all the way from may to dec 2007, pushing my graduation into Jan 2008.

The position is with P&G's information, decision and solutions group. What will you guys do in that situation?

I say push your graduation back to Spring 08 and take the 8 month internship. The internship will be very positive on your resume, the extra semester wont even matter.

How is it only pushing your graduation back to January 08 if it's causing you to miss 4 months of school and the internship ends in December?

I do not understand. It appears you have received an offer that matches your needs.
When is your original graduation date and how would that be accomplished with 4 months summer + 4 months fall?

The way I read it is, he needs a 4 month internship and then needs another semester of classes. The whole graduating in Jan 2008 seems off though.

My ORiginal graduation date is end of this year. (Sept to Nov 2007) Right now I am in my second last semester (jan to april 2007) and in the summer, I am suppose to have a one last 4 months co-op workterm. So lets say I take this 8 month internship, I cannot take classes in fall because I will be working, and have to take classes in Jan 2008 to complete the rest of the credit.

Do it. P&G will give you a really nice signing bonus when you work full-time after school's done.
With full benefits, 3 weeks paid, stock options, signing bonus and relocation, it's a great company.

Previous P&G'ers get a few $K more when signing on full-time compared to fresh grads. Congrats! :)

Agreed. Interships in general look very good on resumes.

That's what i'm getting out of it. Apparently he should be in school for a little while longer...

Im doing an internship and going to school at the same time. Although it is only 3 months, Ill be done with school and the internship at the same time, which will help me greatly in getting a full position in the company.
