Made an offer for a condo this morning - its in Medford, MA. Offer was accepted at $235K - 845 sq. ft (1 bed/1 bath). It will be tough going the 1st few months, but will be worth it. All the paperwork, hassles are about to begin. Anyone been through a similar situation lately?

I paid $90K for my condo. 1450 sq feet, 2 bed/1.5 bath, built in 1999. Almost paid off, too. :)

I can't imagine living in anything that small, even alone. That's like a living room/bedroom/kitchen loft.

Its just me, for 1 person, I think its enough. The place has baseboard heat - I've heard those are unreliable, and dont heat up the place much? Anyone know about baseboard heat?

Ugh, baseboard heat. We had 'em in my parents' house when we finished the basement. I hated 'em.

I just checked and it said heat pump, so I'm guessing its not baseboard heat? The place also has central air.

going rate where i live seems to be 120k-150k for a 1,000 to 1,300 sqft condo, and i think that is expensive for what you get. i'm in the west end of richmond, VA.
