Feels like a kick in the nuts after being off for so long. Like everything else in life, especially lately, it passed by far too fast.

RIP time off....I hardly knew you! :(

Anyone else dreading going back to work?

(I'm sure some of the ATOT crowd is jumping at the chance to get back to work. Shortylickens, this wasn't meant for your eyes! :p ).

I had last week off but ended up working on Friday because I didn't have much else to do and wanted to get some time billed.

I thought about doing some work that needed done but said forget it. I have to go swap out my car today with the company car as I have to be at a customer site for startup at 5:30am (have to get up at 3:30). If I don't get it today, I'll have to get up at 2:45 to go get the stuff and swap the cars. Sucks!

Sitting here wishing my life away to get to retirement. Pretty sad really! :(

I'm ok going back. I'd quit the job I hated that much.

I don't think I hate the job, I think I'm just at the point that I'm tired of working. Too much of it during the last twenty+ years. I feel just worn out...all the time.

12 days? LOL!

I had more than two months off, try that for change. I timed it so when I came back it was right before Christmas and New Year breaks, so basically go back to work and do nothing for a few more weeks. That'll ease you back in.

12 days for me at this point is huge. I still only get 10 paid days off per year not counting holidays. Still haven't argued...er...talked to my boss as to how many of the shutdown days that I'm getting paid for WITHOUT taking vacation days to cover. Of course, working 80 hours the week before the shutdown should have covered it all (the extra 5 day = 40 hours) but with him, you never know.

been doing work and research here and there over the holidays, I go crazy without something complex to pour myself into in very short time if I'm not traveling.

Do you guys use Facebook? Because this is a perfect example of a 22 year old girl's FB status update.

Same, it's just that getting old thing I guess.

Thought I'd be retiring out of Honeywell, but corporate cost cutting kinda did one up my butt a few years ago over Senior Engineers protests.

I took a similar amount of time off, but had so much crap to do in my personal life, dealing with insurance companies after my wifes accident, buying a new car and traveling for christmas it didnt even feel like i had time off... :(

I only took Thur and Fri off, but I've almost forgotten I have a job :^D

I'm ambivalent about going back. There's worse things in the world, but I'd like to kick my mother for not marrying a Rockefeller :^D

With me its a curious thing.

Definitely a tension. Now, I'm used to not going in. Cats are used to having me around. That's the status quo. And I like it.

But I know that once I get started going back in, I'll like it...

Perhaps, that has something to do with the human condition?

That I might agree on. I typically find myself at this point not wanting to go back in but after getting back in the routine, it's not so bad and even look forward at times doing so. Time will tell.

Very little (just started an account to find out about class reunions). Never did a status update. Maybe I've been doing it here for years and they copied off of me? :hmm:

Mines been there mostly for years to see old High school stuff and family things myself.

Look at it maybe once a week.

The wife is active on her FB, so she usually tells me if anything major happens.

I finally got a new job. I'm back to my roots in hotels. It's good to be employed, I've been out of work since August.

It was in the 60's here yesterday and this morning (colder now - 40's maybe).

I'm more tired now then when I started the 12 days off. Strange feeling! :( I'm thinking my health (weight gain, etc) is going downhill right now. I really should go get a good checkup.
