Off work for last 12 days....now dreading going back!

I usually get antsy after ~10 days, but I made good use of the time off this time around. I'm just about ready, might as well be tomorrow.

I don't think I hate the job, I think I'm just at the point that I'm tired of working. Too much of it during the last twenty+ years. I feel just worn out...all the time.

Makes sense... I'm still relatively young even though I've worked ~14yrs. Just went by the thread title of "dreading".

It was in the 60's here yesterday and this morning (colder now - 40's maybe).

I'm more tired now then when I started the 12 days off. Strange feeling! :( I'm thinking my health (weight gain, etc) is going downhill right now. I really should go get a good checkup.

I think a lot of it is human nature. When you get used to a lower energy level then you want to stay there. Once you force yourself back into your work routine, you'll be fine within a few days. Its that initial push that is hard.

I've been off since November 21st, and honestly I can't wait to get back to work. I'll find out when I can go back tomorrow morning.

Mix of vacation, holiday and "have to burn" PTO mostly. Not allowed to roll anymore over so I had to use it, plus I busted my foot up so it seemed like a good time to burn it off.

Usually, me too. It's strange that he shut it down for that long. He was supposed to come in and get some manuals ready for the customer but when I went in tonight, he had done nothing. Hope the customer isn't in a bad mood about it tomorrow.
