Also, I have been using monster cable for my other audio connectors, can I use this cable since its RCA? or do I have to buy a special Component video cable (some are very expensive=$100 plus)

thanks again.......

No, you do not have to buy expensive cables. (However, if you are using Monster cables for your other components, you mayb believe that Monster cables are better than others; if so, disregard this suggestion.) You can use 3 video cables (yellow RCA) for the 3 components.

I don't think you would be able to tell the difference. Are the Component video connectors BNC on both ends? If so I have a good cable you can have because I'm not using it.

I would use component. I use S-video on my player because that's all my TV supports, but component is better. Either way though, I don't know if you would be able to see much of a difference.

Component. Do try both and see if you can tell the difference, then invest in whichever you think it's worth the money.

Video Attachment methods:
[*]Coaxial, mixes all 3 video components & Audio in the same line, worst quality
[*]Composite, mixes all 3 video components into the same line, 2nd worst
[*]S-Video, splits the video into 2 parts (they use the same physical cable but there are multiple wires inside), 2nd best
[*]Component, splits the video into all 3 components and uses separate cables for each, best quality.

I've been told that S-Video to Component is not an enormous jump, but if you have both you might as well use the better.

Edit: Thanks Workin'

<< I've been told that S-Video to Composite >>

Oops, you mean S-video to component.
