off topic rant and a plea for help

What is going on with the forums? There are so many people registered and most of the time when help is asked for all you get is smart remarks like "get a real operating system" or "Buy a book and figure it out yourself"/rant mode off>
I need a little help if you would pm me I would appriciate it. Here is my last request.
