it would be nice if 90% of the threads in off topic are locked and deleted. every single day there are stupid polls about what color hair you have or how long you take to shower or retarded crap like that. it's fine with me if that comes up once, but when a new thread starts over every day or week, it's kinda stupid.

i don't think there's any fair way to deal with this, as far as i know, but i think it's an issue that many are sensitive to as well. just ranting i guess.

It's off topic. Not everyone wants to get into deep and meaningfuls about the origin of life. I agree that lots of the threads are silly, but that's the nature of the beast, and I don't really see the mods banning light hearted topics.

Dirf: What would you like to discuss every day, religion or the meaning of life, and where we are all headed? How about Quantum Physics? Number one, if you feel the topics are so bad, and unworthy of your reading, then make one you feel is good. Otherwise, quit complaining and expecting others to do the work for you. 😉 I agree, there are alot of stupid posts in there, and yeah, some of them are even mine. :Q But I like how it is, one day you can be part of a discussion about right and wrong, and the next be helping Thunderbooty pick out an outfit. It keeps it fresh, and that is why so many people keep coming back.

But I get the strong impression that so many of the new threads are started for no reason. I mean, I don't want to talk about President Bush or abortion or existentialism all the time, but then again I'm tired of &quot;let's see how many people respond to my thread... it means I'm popular&quot; type of polls. I'm all for interesting polls like which way you place your toilet paper or stuff like that but anyway you know what I mean. I don't even mind the kind like &quot;hey guess what happened to me&quot;... as long as they actually have something to say.

Anyway like I said I'm just complaining. I see how it could be... a place for interesting and fun discussion, minus the junk. If you're offended by me calling some stuff junk then don't be so defensive. Have a nice day and enjoy the superbowl if you're into that sort of thing.

I agree with you, there are some topics I just stare at and wonder why anyone would post it. But I also don't get into the car threads, or the Counterstrike threads that are posted every couple of days. It does not mean they are not interesting, just that they don't tickle my fancy. So, I stay away from them, and read the threads that interest me. What you find boring, may be vastly entertaining to someone else, and we all just have to learn to cope. 😉

No it wouldn't! Believe it or not some of us enjoy these frivolous topics. As difficult as it may be for you to comprehend, people have different opinions on things!
