Today,
another great victory for me,
i opened a can of whup ass in the custom warcraft 3 game called DOTA
i was the nerubian assassin and i owned my way through
""OWNAGE"" was the announcers voice for my team,
i feel pride,
i feel glory,
i feel great,
i whupped some butt in dota

thats that,
tonight is going to be a long night,
i have to test out some components,
a socket 775 motherboard that just came in
and a 478 motherboard that looks like the first generation models.
i hope it works
and i hope my generic psu doesnt fry out to my pentium 820 under testing.

that would be bad.

A networking nightmare

I was finally able to set up a shared internet connection through the network to my Wireless usb modem on my laptop.

I was afraid that I wasnt capable to actually do it.
good thing windows xp pro guided me through the ways.

I had a few bad experiences of frustration dealing with setting up networks.

When i was a computer newbie, i thought that connecting the RJ 11 phone jacks from one computer to another computer would actually be a network so i can battle it on with starcraft.
I was wrong. the simplest procedure was a direct cable connection. lol
i had no network ports on my first cheepo computer.
lol

And later on in the future when i did actually get a network port on my out dated laptop, it was an HP 700 mhz p3. I thought that using a regular network cable can actually have a direct connection to 1 computer. I was wrong, i needed a crossover cable.
Intense frustration as i was a compie newbie on both situations.

now,
i just consider it luck to actually set up a stable network.
my method,
restart everything
router
network hub
computers

until the network works and identifies every single computer easily.

lol
