So taking my yearly trip for work.. and this year because of the high cost.. i'm going to try to take the tube (train) from heathrow to central london.. taxi to central london was around 50 pounds.. which is like 100+ in dollars..

I never taken it before.. anything i should watch out for ? I'm going to bond street station..

The Tube.

That's only if you're flying BA.

Not sure (can't check right) if the Piccadilly line runs from Heathrow to Bond Street. The tube will be no problem whatsoever.

If it doesn't run, I think you will have to change in the middle somewhere to get on the Central Line (think Bond St. is on the Central Line among others) to Bond St.

T5 is only an issue if you use a BA flight, and will probably dissipate by mid to late week.

As for the tube, take the Piccadilly line to Green Park, change there and get the Central line for 1 stop to Bond street. You're travelling from Zone 6 (Heathrow) to Zone 1 (Bond Street) so it'll cost you about £4 for a Zone 1-6 single ticket and take about 40 mins. If you plan on travelling more that day you might be better looking into a day travel card (£6.90 or £13.80 in peak times) which will allow unlimited use for that day. If you're staying longer than a few days get an oyster card, cheaper to use in the long run.
