The 7 was pretty easy. I had a 2 week crash course coming into it with ZERO investment knowledge. Scored a 78. Just know your options and margin accounts. Those are like 50% of the questions and are easy to get correct once you know the logic behind them.

The 66 was a brutal bitch though.

i have a solid options background and I'm taking a 4 week course.

i wish i could take the 7 and 63. but my firm wont pay for it. those fvcks.

and because of this, my name doesnt go into the teasers, books and even reports that i compile. fvck.

probably only a couple of hundred. but you need a firm to sponsor you.

How much do these exams cost to take?

The exam fee is cheap (around $300), it's the licensing with the NASD and states afterwards that gets expensive. Plus it's not something you can just walk in and take. You have to be sponsored by an NASD member.

If you get blue skied in all 50 states you are looking at several thousand dollars. It cost my previous employer just short of $10,000 a person to train us for three weeks, cover the registration costs, and then the license fees to make you legit.
