Practice,is the best way to get better.
Drive the thing in a big empty parking lot if you can find one, like a College parking lot
on a Sunday.
Good like,Mike.

I can imagine.
What I hate is when some asshole in a brand new Mustang or some rich moron in a sparkly Mercedes gets bumper to bumper with you at a redlight on a hill.. Makes me want to park it and get out: "Excuse me, manual cars will roll backwards, you might want to back the fvck up"

lol.... =( im scared of big semi trucks! Thoses suckers roll back and do some damage. One thing is how in heck is the person behind you suppose to know your car is an manual? I understand where your coming from though.

Use the parking brake.
Or, once you get a little more comfortable driving a manual, just keep the right foot on brake, raise clutch up to friction point, then take off. Only do this when you are about to move though to minimize clutch wear.
