off-road unicycling

Anybody here does off-road unicycling?

Two years ago I bought a mountain bicycle. I was enchanted by it, and I had a blast whenever I would ride it. During the scouting on my MTB purchase, I came across a unicycle for sale at the bike store. Even though I didn't buy the unicycle, it stuck in my mind. When I came across a few unicycle movie clips a few months later, I immediately pulled out my credit card to buy a $100.00 unicycle. After learning how to balance myself, I bought a $339.00 Mountain unicycle (aka Muni). Lately, I have improved quite a bit. I can ride over tree roots and rocks with it. I can zoom up and down on dirt trails. It's just too much fun and it is completely "addictive". It's MUCH more fun than using a MTB. I can never go back to my MTB. I've quit using it.

Anybody can learn how to ride a unicycle, even Donald Rumsfield knows how. I "really" thought I could not learn how to ride one, but I did. Anybody can do it.

This is the move that pushed me over the edge to buy a unicycle. Download the 4.3 MB if you can.

Download the 126MB movie clip if you can.

Most expensive off-road unicycle I have seen, so far

Crazy pics of unicycle stunts by Kris Holm (Michael Jordan of unicycling).

Can I have your bike? For free? To sell?

😛

Neat pictures and stuff though, never woulda thought of mountain unicycling...sounds pretty hard

I'm downloading the 126MB movie as we speak, thanks for the links cavearea, awesome pics 🙂

Dan, I wish I could give it to you for free, but I can't. It is true my bike is collecting webs, though. But I did have a certain kind of plan with it. I only wanted to "loan" the bike to friends so they could come with me to the trails.

Off-road unicycling is NOT as hard as it looks. Trust me. Once you learn how to ride a unicycle on the pavement, the learning curve to ride on the dirt trails is small.
