Off duty cop arrested for assaulting a repo man (Video)

There are 3 different videos. One is from the cops who arrested the off duty cop, and then the repo guys wife who is recording what happened. Then the news media stating he landed in jail and now is on administrative leave.

I know no one likes getting their vehicle repossessed, but choking and assaulting the repo guy will always land you in jail. You have to wonder if this cop was already on the edge of losing his job.

Yea, but I have seen many people act like this with repo men. I had a friend who had his car repossesed and he politely made arrangements with the repo people to come get his car, and they let him keep the car for several days. He finally got caught up with his car payments and got his car back. People don't understand that if you just pay the payment nd penalties you can get your car back.

Well, if anyone should know the laws relating to repossession and know that the repo man was acting lawfully, would that not be a police officer? Anyway, those who we grant extraordinary powers should be held to a higher standard, unfortunately LEO's and political figures often prove that wrong.

Obviously, some posters here believe that being hired as a policeman subscribes individuals with incredibles powers: they no longer make mistakes of any type. However, when they do, it obviously needs to reflect poorly on all policeman, because generalization.....

Quite the contrary to some on here that think I am anti-cop I am not. But there is very little accountability and too much of the crooked ones getting away with some pretty awful stuff, even murdering citizens. Yet I do find it interesting that a few here think cops are mostly good and forthcoming and all is right in the world. It seems they would rather bury these stories and have a kum ba ya sit in together chanting , "It's only a few bad apples"
