Off Brand Chineseum Phones?

I'm looking for something with enough memory space to load what I need. The ZTE Maven I have works OK, but is loaded with bloatware.

Shopping around for something with the OS only, I find China brands like Umidigi and Ulephone that seem to be loaded with features and large RAM of 64G or more. But can they be trusted?

No they can’t
Former wireless guy.
Unless these Chinese off brands have dramatically improved they will suck and break fast.
I’m skeptical of security on these phones too.

what is the budget? i would trust some chineeese phones but not all of them i guess. My favorite thing to do is just buy a used samsung with small crack. i bought a few galaxy s9 plus for 190-200$ on ebay lately look like new one said it had screen burn but i saw NOTHING no problems at all.

I only trust the ones that are onboard with you rooting their phones and provide tools to do just that, like Xiaomi. If they are making it hard for you to root, im going to assume there is a reason for that, and im going to assume that reason is not good for my personal information.

Ordered the F1 for a Benjamin and a third.

If it ain't no good, I'll blame those what didn't answer my questions.

Got it today. First impression is that it looks OK, feels OK, powers up. BT seemed to work at first, paired fine, accepted a file, but then appears to have lost something. Maybe I did it. Still exploring.

Sure would like to get of what's boxed in yellow here, or at least move it to another screen, or change the Home screen.

Hmmmmmmm, no sound. Maybe a setting? Hopefully not a bad unit!!

Sounds stupid but make sure the speaker/ear piece isn’t covered with some sort of shipping film.
However I’ll stand by what I said earlier. Never seen a off brand Chinese device work to expectations.
Good luck.

Motorola has had some cheap deals on slickdeals. I got my z2 force for $99 but it was pretty much locked to at&t but was able to get it unlocked. I saw an unlocked z3 play + a mod for $150.
