What's your favorite to read?

I'm partial to writing stories, and reading news.
beer, sex, dental, or if one of my friends starts a thread.

I don't understand why people post personal stories here. Do we really care if there is a death in the family or if you lost a pet? This is a tech forum and OT should be mostly for sports, cars or girl threads. Why people need to get sympathy from complete strangers, I just don't get it.

Sometimes people just need to rant.

it creates a personal forum. one where it seems like you know the people you communicate with?

I dunno... I think that's good to have.

Write: Quick questions with polls, something that will get a lot of replies 😀
Read: Quick questions with polls, that also require some opinion 😀

I like to read topics where someone is talking about a personal story, or how someone or something is giving them a problem. The problem itself usually cracks me up, sometimes the replies are funnier.
