Of the battery recovering

Hi guys! I was told, you can recover, partly or fully, your smartphone battery to its original state. With this purpose, you need put your phone in the safe mode and use the phone in the way you normally use it. After full discharging, when your phone is fainted, you need to charge it fully and then the battery is recovered. Is it truth?

Yes, a battery can magically regain it's capacity by discharging and recharging it. 🙄

Although the OP sounds preposterous, older Macbooks (and probably PCs as well) did benefit from occasional battery calibration to optimize charging. And the procedure for that used to be a full discharge followed by a full charge.
