OEM vista/7 license keys... can I legally just *give* them away?

Long story short, I come across a lot of used computers with these OEM stickers/license things and I usually just throw them away. Can I just give them away? I'll never use them.
 
OEM licenses are tied to the hardware they are originally sold/installed with. So while you 'technically' can give them away and other people might even be able to activate them, to answer your question, no, they can't legally be used on different hardware.
 
No in general, but yes if you leave them with the OEM machine they belong to. That means they go with the OEM machine.
