OEM video card

I found the video card I want, but it's only in stock in OEM. Should I wait on the card until they have one for retail? I heard that sometimes OEM stuff is sometimes underclocked, or have poorer quality parts. Is that true or is it exactly the same as retail? I can deal with no screws and cables and stuff, I just don't want to get a piece of junk.

Don't be a retard.
Forget that card, especially at $580.
Get an X800XT if you want (slightly lower clocks, much lower price), or a 6800GT (lower price, slightly lower speed).

Or feed some starving Africans.

Okay, well if I go with the regular X800 XT, does OEM differ from retail in any way other than cables and screws?

that depends on the manufactor,, you can look into it before buying, .. some will have lower core/memory speed,, but most will be the same as their retail card,, just less software and stuff.

I save your money and get the 6800 GT for $399.00 Besides the next gen cards should be comming out soon. For the performance and money you can't get anything better. Don't let the ATI owners fool you. I've been researching this for months.

Don't let the ATI owners fool you

Hmmmmm............that sounds rather fanboyish.

Which ATI owners are trying to fool people*? How are they trying to fool people? Why? What benefits do they get if the OP buys an ATI card instead of an NV card?

Is it Rollo again? Has he been compromised by one of these ATI owners? 😀
