OEM sapphire from newegg.. less quality?

is it true the newegg oem sapphires tested out as less quality than retail cards? Do you think it would be worth it to get the extra warranty?

no, that sapphire should do you just fine...you absolutely cannot beat that price right now

Quality should be the same. The difference lies in bht bundle (of course the bundle can differ from various retail cards as well) and warrenty. Depending on the deals at any given moment you can get the retails for not much if any more then the OEM. If thats the case I would get retail just to have the warrenty. As the price gap grows though its more of a judgement call/personal preference. I like the retail ones myself, but I also wanted a 9800pro AIW and retail was my only option.

Say whatever you want about quality, but I got mine this past Fri. No mods what-so-ever (yet, hehehe), she is running 400mhzx738mhz right now and 60303dmk2003 last night with virtually no tweaks.

Wait till my Arctic cooler and ramsinks come in :-0

I got 790 on mem with sinks on it but as for core I didnt want to go past 420 with the VGA silencer because it already felt pretty hot

430 core, 370 (740? too early for calculuminator) memory.

Stock cooling, no modifications.

It needs a bit more testing though.... Aquamark3 has too much 'fish food' floating around for me to tell the difference between it and artifacts.

i got a sapphire 9100 luv it. awesome, great oc'ng, as good or better than any other manaf.

I agree...for 200 bones, you can't beat 20,000 in 3dmark01 and 6000 in 03. (my buddy's A64 with that card)
