I know neither usually come with anything but the MB itself. My question is kind of a stupid one, but is it possible to get IO shields, err not sure what they're called. The metal peice that goes on your case for all the par/ser, USB & audio and stuff. I'm looking at a MB on Newegg and the refurbed is much cheaper. But without that peice my case will be dust city.

You can always make your own using aluminum flashing. I've done that a few times. Never gotten a DFI refurb. The Asus refurbs usually are just the board in a white box with nothing else. Shuttle refurbs look new with everything included. YMMV.

Contact DFI I am sure they would send you a IO plate for your motherboard.
