Oem or Retail? How can You tell?

How can you tell if your Amd Prcessor Chips is an OEM or Retail Chip?

Retail comes in a nice box with documentation/heatsink/fan, OEM usually comes in a small plastic container w/ no documentation/heatsink/fan.

So the only way of tellig is through the packaging? is there any way of telling by the serial numbers?

The cpu's themselves are the same.
