OEM or Retail CPU

I am wondering whether OEM or Retail CPUs have later/more recent manufacturing dates, as the later AMD 64's tend to better OC'rs.

You have to look at the stepping codes on the cpu and based on that you can figure out when they were made, and also compare to other users to find which batches overclock better.
