Sorry for this very long post but I need some opinions here. I am putting together a pc mostly for gaming and everyday use, but not realy into hardcore gaming. I would prefer to stay under $1800, and building my own isnt an option since I know nothing of building pc's.
On the lower priced pc I want, the only mobo option is an " Asus Model P4S800 SIS 648 Chipset 800/533MHz FSB with Hyper Threading Support. On the more expensive gaming series, the mobo is an "ASUS Motherboard 800Mhz FSB Model# P4C800-E DELUXE.
The hardrive options are 2 "Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache" on the lower priced pc, or 2 seagate Barracuda 80GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA hds" on the higher model.
Would the western digital pare of hds be ok for the Asus Model P4S800 SIS 648 Chipset 800/533MHz?
Would also like to know if it would be better going for the higher end system with a smaller pentium 2.6 or 2.8 with lower 256 ram and a better ati card, or the lower priced sytem with higer ram, lower ati card, and bigger p4 3.0.
Below is the congiguration .Please I need some opinions on this, any help I would be thankful =)
