Any hair stylist/frequent product users around here? I've never used any hair styling 'product' but my new haircut kinda demands I do. If you check out the hair styling section at the store there are 100s of different choices and I have no idea what to get, I need someone who knows something about this stuff. I borrowed some hair stuff from someone and it worked okay but it's quite pungent. I don't want my hair to smell like anything.

I want some gel to slick back my hair that doesn't smell, and isn't crusty. Don't want a 'something about mary' situation. Here's an example of what I have in mind via google image search: Linky Link

hair wax, I think this one will achieve what you want.

edit: you'll have a hard time finding something odorless.

Would you prefer Mr. Andy Garcia? :)

Asking for something to be "odorless" is a lot to ask. I don't need it to be completely without smell, I just need something that doesn't overwhelm the senses, and become the only thing anyone smells in the room.

Spray, Gel, Paste, Wax. Damn there's a lot of stuff out there. After googling around I don't think Paste or Wax is what I'm really looking for. Still thinkin' gel. BUT I do appreciate the suggestions.

I use Got 2 b glued spike glue.

So the stuff is supposed to be used to create spikes. so it's some of the crustiest stuff you can get. However, instead of the standard wet hair, dry hair, apply gel procedure, I just wet hair and apply gel, so it's not super crusty.

If you don't want the slick look, mousse or wax may be better.

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Pomade has an initial smell, but becomes odorless (to me at least) upon application. Good product. 3.5 oz goes a long way. Good hold but not sticky at all.

Odorless hair gel is a myth. I don't think there even exist and the ones who say that it's Odorless , well that smells fishy. I think that the smell is something that is the USP of these gels. Couldn't find any. Hope I need to get rid of it completely. o_O hair salon Annandale, VA
