odds of getting an expired check passed?

I have a rebate check that I forgot about that expired like 2 weeks ago, and im wondering if there is any chance at all that it will go through If I put it in the mac machine... Kind of a long shot but its for 30$ so i thought i'd ask...

If you do try it, bear in mind that your bank and the rebate's bank may charge you FEE$ if it comes bank (which it probably will).

It may make it past the tellers but it will never make it through the proof department.

Often MIRs come so shortly before the check expires that I give it to my back after the expiration ... never had a problem.
