This is with closed captions on.
In the context of, oh say, ending democracy as we know it, I personally don't care what religion he practices. But it's funny as shit that he's talking to Christians and openly telling them he ain't one of them, all while groveling for their votes.

I took the 39:55 timestamp in post #3612 and watched over 5 minutes of Trumpian garbage. What he said could potentially be interpreted in different ways, depending on the context. I never even got to the point where he said Christians won't have to vote again if he wins, so it's impossible to say what the connection was; and crash tech dummy won't tell us. Knowing Trump, there was none.

Of course, DJT is the only president in U.S. history that tried to block the certification of a presidential election so it's natural to interpret "you won't have to vote again" in a certain way.

I swear I heard him say they'll have lock boxes in Churches so they can vote in church around 40:10.

The problem is Uncle Joe thinks he is Uncle Sam. He wants YOU to vote for him. He wont hand it over to "Aunt" Kamala. I guess he knows she has no chance.*:(

*=Even though he picked her!
If Kamala is the candidate within two weeks with a solid VP, I will take that bet. Friendly wager, $100. As long as those two pieces are in place.

@FelixDeCat How come you never responded to this which I posted before Biden stepped down?

I fail to see what context makes this quote less alarming. Can you explain it to me?
The only relevant context: Trump won't be a dictator except for day one. Combine that with "we'll have it fixed so good you're not going to have to vote." Those are the only concepts you need to understand the plan.

Imagine a Democrat saying they want to be a dictator for one day. Trump gets a pass, I guess just due to the sheer volume of 1)bad Authoritarian rhetoric, bad if you like being a republic/democracy anyway and 2)dementia-type stuff, like electric boats vs sharks and Hannibal Lecter.

I can't verify this is true, but if so it ranks up there with Kamala wanting to ban plastic straws.

So extreme, when 24 states have legalized marijuana, and the red state I lived in for a couple decades had vote-by-mail and it wasn't a problem, and the current state I live in has allowed vote-by-mail since 1991, and it hasn't been a problem.
It's okay, I didn't except anything from you lot. The rest of you don't bother, he's right, there isn't anything there for you.
It's very interesting that you have a Carl Sagan quote in your sig, in the context of your posts here.

I've had way, way more than 5. In fact of the vids I've watched (or audiobooks I've listened to on YT) very few times has there NOT been one. Not sure I've seen a single Trump one, though I think there was one in the related/recommended list.

I got an RFK ad on YouTube the other day. It essentially was, "Vote for RFK, Jr. because he's a Kennedy and he totally doesn't have the viewpoints he's on the record as having."
I hate that he's a candidate, he can't possibly win, but he can probably get enough votes to potentially disrupt shit. And running those ads aren't cheap. What's the damn point of throwing money away like that? I understand being an American and voting is important, but if you don't like Trump or Harris, just stay your ass at home. Voting for RFKJ isn't going to amount to anything. His campaign is costing millions, for what exactly?

Originally was a Republican funded plan to help Trump win, with Kennedy name targeted to siphon off low info dissatisfied Dem voters, that may now hopefully backfire

I used to make protest votes when I lived in one of the reddest parts of one of the reddest states.

Sure he's unhappy about what happened and feels a bit disrespected but he's certainly clear eyed about what business he's in which speaks well of his judgement.

“She did what she had to do” in order to give Democrats the best chance to win in November, Biden told one of the people, adding that Pelosi “cares about the party,” not about feelings.

A senior White House official, also granted anonymity to describe private conversations, said Biden views Pelosi as “ruthless” and willing to set aside long-term relationships in order to keep her party in power — and, most importantly, to prevent Republican nominee Donald Trump from returning to the White House.

If this Biden was there for debate night, wonder how much difference this convention would be?
It would still be a lot different. You can't replace the energy that replacing Biden accomplished. He was not a good candidate even with a decent debate performance.

Well, it's pretty obvious a bulk of the money going to the Trump campaign just goes to lawyers and probably several strange little LLC's, so we have not see that many ads from his camp.
When you have to spend your money though 27 layers of LLCs to skim a bit at each layer, very little makes it to actual product on screen.
