I am seeing opinion that the 566Mhz -> 850 is an odds-on favorite. Is this true? Are there any data (or experience) to back these claims up?

What about a 600Mhz -> 900Mhz overclock - any insight, data, information, or opinions?

yeah,as rigor3 advises, and its true.I bought two cel633's from onvia.com last week and both hit 950mhz@1.70 vlts with the stock cooling on a retail cpu. This is on an abit bh6 with its bios flashed to the ss ver. With elcheapo pc100 ram.And these cels, well seems to me like everyone who has bought one from onvia hits 950.Both mine are retail, both say 08/30/2000 as the pack date from intel. Some other member thinks these are the cco stepped p3 core,by the pack date.

Just for your information, I may have lucked out with a Celeron 566 from All Star, its a week 33 OEM SL46T (Malay)which I have running @953 (112x8.5)on an Iwill Slocket II & Tyan Tsunami 1830S, it's running at 1.7v with a heatsink and fan which are probably not as good as the stock Intel units. I'm guessing the 566's are about the best bet for an overclock of 850 but the new Cc0 stepping which will be hitting the shelves sometime soon is rumored to be capable of 1Ghz.

I have been building some systems for some friends of mine, and ALL of the 633's have hit at least 900+ with the stock fan/heatsink. Just bump the voltage up a bit and you can probably do it....
