Odd winxp networking problem

I have a winxp computer that is able to use nslookup to resolve named addresses, but the browser(ie and firefox) are unable to resolve names. If you use the ip address in the broswer the pages wlll download and display fine. I used netsh to reload tcp/ip, but the problem still exists.


Anyone have a clue on how to fix this without having to do OS reinstall?
 
I dont have access to the computer at this point, but DNS was working as nslookup was working. IT is obtaining tcp/ip config via dhcp on the 2wire router
