Odd Windows 8.1 issue...

Every now and again the Start button will stop responding to mouse clicks and I have to use the Windows button on the keyboard to bring up the Start screen.

I also lose the ability to switch between apps on the left side of the screen and the ability to drag and close apps using the mouse.

Only way I can get everything back to normal is to restart the Windows Explorer process.

Anyone else having this issue? Or can anyone lead me in some direction as to what may be causing it and how to correct it?

Thanks in advance.

This is just a wild guess, but do you have a wireless mouse? If the transmitter/receiver or the mouse itself is near any source of RF interference (like a mobile phone), the mouse can start doing wacky things. I replaced mine with a corded mouse, and all my mouse problems went away.
