Odd (to me) problem with hard drive...

Ok..trying out the system I have in my sig with a different psu then the one I will be putting in (but that shouldn't matter right now) and I noticed something odd I've never seen before.

BIOS and Western Digital DLG Tools say I have what I paid for, Western Digital WD2500KS SATA II 250gb Hard Drive. Windows XP Pro (using my computer) and Norton Speed Disk both say I have a 127gb Hard Drive. It is partitioned as one logical drive...not two...so any ideas on what to even check or look for? I have no jumpers installed either and I'm running SATA power plug, not Legacy one.

I originally used a bootable cd created the Bart pe (anyone familiar with that?) way...but that was using an XP Pro with no SP1 or 2 Updates on it. I downloaded everything after original install on Windows Update...still didn't help the situation and am now running XP Pro SP2

Sorry about that...XP Pro SP2. It was installed and formated using a bootable CD with XP Pro no SP1 or 2 info on it, which I think is the problem from what I am reading elsewhere.

I did all the downloads and such from windows update site...and it's still stuck at 127.
